Erika (they/she) is a Filipino tattoo apprentice, piercer, and tooth gem technician based at Rising Phoenix Tattoo & Body Piercing. Specializing in a diverse range of styles, Erika’s work spans from traditional Japanese and American motifs to modernized illustrative designs and whimsical stippling.

Rooted in a childhood spent drawing on friends with markers and practicing with henna, Erika’s practice has since evolved into a disciplined pursuit of tattooing. Erika eventually brought that creative energy to Puerto Rico, using their time there to focus on the technical side of the craft, sharpen their precision, and expand what they could do as an artist.

Erika brings a disciplined, creative touch to every tattoo, piercing, and tooth gem they provide. Their creative process is influenced by their love of tarot, video games, and cooking. They prioritize a comfortable client experience and a high standard of work, and are currently accepting new bookings for custom designs and body piercings.
